Reading Plant Design Maps (AM975 Example)

Use PDF design prints to find node identity, power supplies, active amp tables, EOL tags, tap values, and street routing — then reconcile what you see in the field before cut-outs or amp work.

What a Coax Design Print Contains

Maps Are the Job Package

PDF design maps (often exported from GIS or design tools) are the authoritative layout for node boundaries, hardline routes, tap values, and active device settings. Field evolution projects expect you to work from the current map revision — not an old screenshot in a group chat.

Before you open a housing or cut hardline, confirm you are on the correct node and active label (A1, A2, …). A wrong amp label wastes alignment time and can violate node health rules when EOL sweep scope is tied to tap loading.
